Assignment #3 Framing

Framing is a unique concept in digital photography. In picture #1 I was strolling the Burlington Bike and this bike bridge has always been my favorite bridge to ride across. Not sure of the framing works in this photo but there are a series of lines that really captured my attention.

Photo # 2

I was in Maine visiting my in-laws and we took a daytrip to Boothbay Harbor. The minute we pulled into the restaurant, this view came into my sight of vision. The tree's act as a frame to the water and boats.

Photo #3

Another photo from Boothbay. This footbridge that is crossed by thousands of people during the vacation months struck me. The history that is in the bridge crossed by people all over the world.

Photo #4

This photo is one of my favorites. As I walked by it the pod was what struck me. I immediately started to take pictures of the pod then realized that there was a natural frame around it from a distance. The straightness of the trucks, the shape of the pod, and the overhang from the branches created the perfect frame.

Photo #5

This last photo was an "on a whim" photo. The train had just passed and as I watched it go by, I looked at all the elements and thought that it was a cool framed picture in itself. The iron, the concrete and the shapes all created a neat frame to traveled road beneath.
