Color and Lighting
For this weeks assignment I decided to try something a little different with the color and lighting of the skull photo's. The only thing I adjusted in this photo is the skull. I wanted it to pop out. I used the quick selection tool and then adjusted the hue/saturation. I then adjusted the curves with an input of 164 and an output level of 220.
The next photo is adjusted it completely.
I started with the vibrance/saturation of the photo. I then put an emerald green photo filter on it with a 12% density. I then adjust the input levels and then the color balance levels, but only on the shadows. I wanted to highlight the greens without drowning out the shadows of the photos.

Excellent work on the skull image! I love the changes that you made.
ReplyDeleteExcellent work! I am really impressed that you recorded each of the settings. You now know exactly where you need to go if you want the same effect. After a while, you'll begin to understand what the tools do and you won't even have to pay attention to those numbers. You will know exactly when it is right…
ReplyDeleteI love your skull photo. The adjustments really did make the skull stand out in the photo. I enjoyed your second photo as well, as your adjustments really made the greens pop out in your picture.
