Color & Lighting

                                                             Color and Lighting

For this weeks assignment I decided to try something a little different with the color and lighting of the skull photo's. The only thing I adjusted in this photo is the skull. I wanted it to pop out. I used the quick selection tool and then adjusted the hue/saturation. I then adjusted the curves with an input of 164 and an output level of 220.

The next photo is adjusted it completely.
I started with the vibrance/saturation of the photo. I then put an emerald green photo filter on it with a 12% density. I then adjust the input levels and then the color balance levels, but only on the shadows. I wanted to highlight the greens without drowning out the shadows of the photos.

  2. Excellent work! I am really impressed that you recorded each of the settings. You now know exactly where you need to go if you want the same effect. After a while, you'll begin to understand what the tools do and you won't even have to pay attention to those numbers. You will know exactly when it is right…

  3. I love your skull photo. The adjustments really did make the skull stand out in the photo. I enjoyed your second photo as well, as your adjustments really made the greens pop out in your picture.
